A student visa allows students of any nationality to travel and study their preferred courses in a foreign country. The country in which you will study will have visa processes specific to its immigration policy. Getting a student visa to enter and study in any country can be a lot easier than you think, but it requires an honest decision regarding the country you want to study in; which course you would like to study and how you can do it.
Welcome to Zimsproject, Through these pages, we hope to give you a brief overview of our student visa Application
We will briefly introduce you to the process of obtaining a student visa to study in any country of your choice. If you are a prospective student, you need to know that you will have to go through two inevitable steps before obtaining a visa to study abroad.
- The admission process
- The visa application process
- Quantitative Finance
To begin with, you will have to look at the school where you want to study and find out first of all if it offers the course you prefer. Then you should start preparing your necessary documents when applying to the university for admission. Once you have been offered admission and you have completely followed the procedures outlined by the university/institution for accepting your offer, you will receive the official documents from the admissions institution.
You can now proceed to the visa application step after receiving the official documents from the university to support your student visa application. Make sure you have prepared all the necessary documents. To apply for and obtain a student visa to study in any country, you will need to prepare this general document checklist:
- Possess a valid travel document, such as an international passport
- Provide supporting documents issued by the university you have applied to, in order to demonstrate that you have been accepted by the institution to study the chosen course.
- Provide a document that proves you have sufficient funds to support yourself as a student. If you have a sponsor they will need to provide your bank statements; however, if you have received sponsorship from a recognized authority such as the government or a credible institution, you will need to provide evidence from those bodies showing that they will support your education with the necessary funds. You can also sponsor yourself and provide financial evidence to show you can support yourself as a student.
- Evidence to show that you have strong ties to your country of residence.
If you hold a student visa to study in any country, you are a temporary resident only and cannot have benefits attributable to persons residing in those countries as permanent residents. But students can continue to stay permanently after completing their studies if they are eligible to apply for a permanent visa. This is specific to certain countries only and depends on the immigration policies of the country you want to study in. Consider this: Between 2013 and 2018, the UK reduced the length of stay for international students after completing their studies from 2 years to 4 months.

All international students studying in the UK during this period were therefore required to leave the UK within the extra four months, which should allow students to finalize their plans to leave the country.
Elsewhere in Canada and Australia the immigration policy was different. International students enrolled in Canadian and Australian universities can stay in the country after completing their studies for a longer period (1 to 3 years for Canada) and (2 to 4 years for Australia). In Ireland, students can stay back after completing their studies for 1 to 2 years, depending on the type of program they enrolled in. Immigration policies change from time to time and maybe a result of new measures implemented to increase security or resolve any other issue.
The last year 2019, the UK announced that it would be bringing back its 2-year post-study work visa, which will start in the summer of 2020/2021. This change in policy has meant that all international students studying in the UK from the 2020/2021 session onwards will have a two-year stay in the UK upon completion of their studies. You can consider these facts before choosing to study in any country.
